Airline Support Manager - Aerostructures Business Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen to enhance our airline service levels with the addition of an Airline Support Manager based at our Prestwick Service Center.

This position will report to our Regional Airline Support Manager.

The successful candidate will be the primary contact for designated airlines within the IATA II region and the liaison between the airline customer and Collins Aftermarket Customer Support Organisation. You will be responsible for providing technical support and work in collaboration with our Aftermarket Business Development team as well as Maintenance Repair and Overhaul sites to identify and support commercial agreements and enhance customer relationships.

Key responsibilities:
• Interface directly with airline personnel to ensure an exceptional customer experience
• Provide time bound technical support to airline customers including product updates, maintenance recommendations and product training
• Engage with customers to conduct Technical Review Meetings and develop and maintain relationships that will ensure a strong positive customer experience
• Foster an environment of collaboration with other Aftermarket support functions to ensure coordinated customer response for both technical and commercial solutions
• Recommend maintenance, repair and overhaul services
• Provide insight on customer strategies relative to flight operations, maintenance philosophy and business practices to aid business decisions
• Support entry into service conferences and deliver product familiarisation training
• Assess opportunities to partner with airlines to support field data collection
• Support operator / OEM conferences with technical nacelle solutions
• Promote our onsite culture, employee engagement and the Collins Path
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and develop standard process / job instructions

Candidate Requirements:

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) and have a solid background working in the aerospace sector with a comprehensive understanding of airline maintenance procedures.
You will have excellent technical knowledge of commercial aircraft, particularly nacelle and engine components. You will be a persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Compliance with all policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and ITC requirements is essential.
Must be willing to travel both within the UK and internationally on a regular basis.
