A bit about the job:
Aviva must always act to protect our customers, our people and our data. The activities the team carries out help meet this aim for CIO functions in Aviva. This role involves understanding the Risks, Controls, Issues and Actions owned in CIO relating to our IT Risk and Control obligations. Then working with a wide array of stakeholder to ensure out teams continue to meet Aviva's Risk obligations and our purpose. It involves understanding Risk appetite and materiality in multiple Business Units, as well as reporting and guiding stakeholders across CIO in technical and non-technical areas at all levels.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Understanding of Risk and Control methodology or frameworks
  • Stakeholder management skills - effective and confident when dealing with people at any level, within a complex organisation. Able to guide and influence others to complete new and sometimes complex tasks to required quality assurance levels
  • Proven ability to analyse complex scenarios then summarise and present effectively for different audiences to drive tangible results
  • Knowledge of a range of IT processes and functions - which could include IT support, ITIL processes, infrastructure & networks, application development, Cloud computing, IT security - amongst others
