About the role
As a Senior Network Design Engineer, you will be supporting the profitable growth of our client's business by supporting the CCNED team to focus on and cover the addition, modification and removal of Core & Corporate Firewall Rules. This will involve initially carrying out primarily work on the Check Point firewalls as well as with the possible inclusion of Cisco ASA & Firepower firewalls. You will be required to perform efficiently in the hours of Implementation CRQs and update handover documents and reports to relevant teams. In addition, you will also provide remote technical support to any subsequent testing and troubleshooting of the new flows.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

The must haves:

• Experience of carrying out Firewall rule Addition, Modification and Removal in a large-scale ISP environment.
• Cisco certification on the ASA and Firepower equipment
• Check Point certification
• Operating within a multifunctional team to discover the existing network firewall rules and flows.
• Having previously used Tufin (Firewall Management) and/or F5

Other stuff we're potentially looking for:

• Exposure to networking, trace routing across IP Networks and Troubleshooting
• Strong exposure within the Network systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative team approaches for driven success.
• Additional tool knowledge around; Pix, Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Ability to make an immediate impact with strong experiences within similar roles.

• A day rate, in-scope IR35, of £350.08 per day (PAYE) OR £450.00 per day (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
