NATS is the UK's leading air navigation service provider, handling over two million flights each year. It provides air traffic control services from two control centres supporting airports all around the UK, as well as a wide range of commercial solutions to over 30 countries.

We are looking for an Enterprise Security Architect to join our Security department of approx.15. You will help develop our Enterprise Security Architecture and use it to drive a consistent approach to security design across NATS businesses, services and operations.

Duties include:

Develop Enterprise Security Architecture principles, policies and standards (including architecture patterns) that can be consumed by business unit focussed Security Architects and associated development staff

Find and direct pragmatic approaches for security architecture to match business drivers and constraints and adhere to broader reference architectures

Provide and lead consultancy on security architecture to broader NATS teams so they can adhere to the security strategy and architecture

Ensure Enterprise Security Architecture artefacts (e.g. design patterns) and method (e.g. techniques) are maintained and accessible digitally by other teams

Attend cross-domain governance forums to provide an Enterprise Security Architecture view and guidance into cross-domain development initiatives

Assess the market for strategic and emerging security technology and work with domain Security Architects to identify common technology solutions and strategies that can be used across NATS

Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders to align service, security strategies and development with relevant security approaches and controls

Support or stand-in for domain Security Architects to provide a security viewpoint into programme designs (e.g. position security controls against security risks identified)

Support Assurance team in conducting security related audits

Use NATS Enterprise Security Architecture to assure the scope and delivery of cross-domain supplier contracts

Essential skills and experience:

Degree in relevant Business or IT technical qualification or equivalent of knowledge acquired through experience, other qualifications and training/development

SME in wide range of security technologies with working knowledge of their integration, configuration and operation

Certified to CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCISO or equivalent professional certification

Relevant architectural experience, including an understanding of NIST, SABSA, TOGAF, Zachman or equivalent frameworks

Proven experience delivering change working with a formal method of delivery

Able to assimilate and consider issues from technical, contractual and business perspective

Demonstrable experience in negotiation and influencing internal and external stakeholders

Working knowledge of ISO27001 and how architecture aligns with an organisation's Information Security Management System
