Role Summary:

Actuation Systems is currently undergoing a major Digital Transformation and we are looking for a talented individual to support us on our Digital journey.
In this varied and interesting role, you will be ensuring the IT applications are fully supported. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and control of the applications whilst providing brilliant customer support. You will work closely with other external suppliers, customers and other internal teams across the business.

You will take an active role in the Digital Transformation initiatives bringing our Digital strategy to life and supporting the benefits this will deliver to the Actuation Systems business.

There are exciting projects in the pipeline such as automating transactions and data collection, supporting new application integration and robotic interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:
  • Digital Strategy - working with leaders and specialists from around the business as we develop and execute our Digital Strategy. Have history of creating solutions to achieve an ideal result.
  • Digital Transformation - you will take an active role in the implementation of various projects in support of the Digital Strategy as we transformation our business into a smart factory
  • Support new application integration
  • DT cost management - working with the business to secure cost reduction opportunities and to get best value for our expenditure
  • System Support - providing systems support for some of our key applications
  • Develop and maintain critical relationships with business, vendors, and customers
Skills & Experience:
  • You have worked within the manufacturing industry in roles such as Manufacturing Engineer or Systems Engineer which will provide you a working foundation of the role.
  • To succeed in the role, you must have a working knowledge if Microsoft SQL.
  • Knowledge of a programming principle would help in the role
  • Ideally you have knowledge of our key business application tools: MES (Solumina or equivalent) PLM (Teamcenter or equivalent) and ERP (SAP or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with external suppliers would be advantage.
