Job Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to be accountable for the strategic direction of aftermarket value stream and the delivery of the aftermarket sales and Intake plan to meet growth targets for Large Commercial, Regional & Business and Helicopter business segments globally. Typically, this would be circa $600M pa.

The role will lead a geographically located team of circa 20 staff including Regional Business Development Directors, Business Development Managers, Surplus Trading manager, Rotables and Exchanges team and the actuation Systems Pricing team.

The leadership role includes oversight, business objectives, performance management, customer relationships, process compliance and Ethics compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a leader of a large diverse and dynamic team of professionals. Motivate, direct and reward individuals and drive consistently high PULSE survey results.
  • Be highly analytical to identify sales, customers and market trends.
  • Coordinate the preparation, presentation and approval of all business cases in accordance with the controls in place at Actuation.
  • Drive business protection and growth strategies and secure Long Term MRO Agreements (LTA).
  • Gather, collate and feedback market intelligence to the Business Intelligence and Proposal team. Develop and share best practices.
  • Manage, develop and enhance customer relationships and interactions to ensure business growth.
  • Manage, develop and enhance internal relationships across Actuation facilities in Italy, USA, France & UK.
  • Leverage the central Collins CSM Sales teams to ensure Closure of LTAs and business pursuits.
  • Be fluent in CRM tools to manage closure of strategic initiatives, sales campaigns and opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM as the primary tool for managing, reporting and tracking pursuits, leads and campaigns.
Experience & Skills:
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the aerospace aftermarket industry practices and business models for Civil, Helicopter, Military and Regional/Business aircraft.
  • Strong Technical understanding of Engineering, flight controls and hydraulic systems.
  • Cultural agility to work across all customers and internal facilities.
  • Strong leadership with proven business and commercial acumen.
  • Existing customer relationships preferred.
  • Ability to perform detailed business analytics using Excel and Power Business Intelligence.
  • Degree in Business and a degree in Aerospace Engineering mandatory.
  • Ability to form and develop customer and internal relationships across all levels of the business and customer base..
