Cloud Transformation Assistant Manager - Healthcare
Location
We have learnt during the recent global situation that remote working can, and has, worked for our world-class advisory teams. Whilst we have four core offices (London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds) we are open to remote workers within a sensible vicinity to one of our 21 UK offices with a view to being onsite at least one day per week. Post-pandemic, there may be travel required to client site.

The Team
KPMG's Cloud Transformation practice is an award-winning team of over 100 consultants that helps clients transform the way CIOs and their teams deliver technology services to their business stakeholders.
Our team help the UK's largest and most complex organisations develop cloud strategies, build the operating models, architectures and capabilities to deliver value from cloud, and operate their cloud or hybrid estates effectively and cost-efficiently. We use KPMG's deep industry insights, C-suite relationships, cloud architecture capabilities, alliances and cloud adoption accelerators ranging from our cloud value labs and KPMG Cloud Cost Management models to our controls frameworks and landing zones.
We work with our 500+ strong engineering teams to implement these strategies and solutions - sitting at the heart of major transformations across the UK, helping technology executives convert business strategy into compelling technology outcomes.
COVID has accelerated the demand for our services and need to rapidly grow the team, we need Senior Architects that are comfortable engaging with C-suite leaders across Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare using expertise in one or more of the following disciplines.

KPMG's Healthcare practice (within IGH) is at the forefront of helping to define and transform how technology improves the delivery of healthcare to citizens across the country. We are working with national bodies, local trusts, CCG and ICS to innovate, driive value, manage technical debt, mitigate cyber risk using a range of technologies. We work with board level executives acoss the healthservice , seeking to understand their priorities before advising on how technology should be used to realise the required outcomes;

The Role
As a Cloud Transformation Advisor in Healthcare, you will support KPMG with the delivery of immediate value and impact, to healthcare customers undergoing a transform of their IT environment, creating well-organised cloud adoption strategies, application analysis, cloud centres of excellence and finally implementing the transformations.
Your primary responsibility will be to focus on delivery of compelling solutions from our wide portfolio of Cloud offerings across markets. You will work with teams of our experienced cloud SMEs and will be at the forefront of some of the most exciting, complex and leading-edge transformation work in the UK and likely in Europe.

  • Working collaboratively in larger teams or be an individual contributor in client engagements
  • Focussing your technical skills to provide relevant and practical solutions to address clients' business needs
  • Communicating well thought recommendations on architecture, delivery, tooling, costs and cloud operating models
  • Being a trusted advisor to leaders at our clients, focusing on cloud and more broadly at their technology journey
  • Delivering complex, multi-stakeholder advisory services across the full scope of helping our clients' transition to Cloud platforms, or unlocking the full potential of cloud
  • Collaboration with the wider teams to create market-leading, client-focused Cloud propositions
  • Contribute to building a strong team and embrace diversity

The Person
  • Possess experience of working with and managing complex clients
  • Successful track record and experience in professional consulting services with the ability to communicate cloud solutions effectively to stakeholders in client organisations
  • Knowledge of architecture, design, implementation and operating IT systems on leading commercial Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google
  • Good understanding of infrastructure, network, database, security architecture, IAM for cloud-based solutions
  • Experience of technical reviews and assessments, cloud strategy, cloud architectures, cloud roadmaps, cloud solution design, and related sourcing activities
  • Experience doing migrations to public cloud including infrastructure sizing and costing, and familiarity with leading migration tools present in the market
  • Knowledgeable in several of: AWS, Azure, Google, micro services, APIs, containers, cloud data models, cloud integration, and cloud migration patterns like rehost, refactor, rearchitect
  • Sound understanding of virtualization and hypervisors
  • Knowledge of DevOps approaches and working practices
  • Experience of programme or project management and managing people, schedule and budgets
  • Collaborative ways of working with clients and KPMG teams
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skillsets
  • Excellent ability to work on own initiative and be a strong team player
  • Excellent PPT and documentation skillsets
