Senior Security Advisor / Policy & Standards
Remote - £800 – 850 per day, Inside IR35 – 6 month contract
Role has a base location in either Chesterfield or the City of London, however, is currently remotely based with occasional travel to site (expected to continue due to decrease in office space).

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Security Advisor to join their growing technology team within Cyber security.
Job Description
This role will interface directly with Portfolio Directors and Programme Managers working through large scale roadmaps of upcoming project demand, defining and building assurance activities (some from scratch) and ensuring effective and robust processes are in place.
The role will oversee a (mainly) virtual team ensuring workload is even spread and all capacity is managed appropriately.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop and maintain in depth understanding of business unit processes, systems, technologies, data, customers, consumers, partners.
• Act as the primary security contact / adviser for the IT leadership and the Portfolio Directors/Business Partners, Infrastructure, Architecture etc.
• Partner with local teams to achieve effective working relationships that can further the effectiveness of the Security program.
• Implement the Information Security Policies and Standards across business units.
• Communicate, oversee and carryout technical implementations of security solutions required to meet business objectives.
• Proactively identify non compliance and areas of potential improvement, and facilitate development and deployment of standard solutions.
• Engage with clients/customers as needed to assist the business to achieve its objectives by representing our security program, supporting internal and external audits, assisting in customer communication of security incident etc.
• Provide regular and timely reporting on the status of cyber security across business units.
• Assist on the implementation and translation of information security policies.
Required Skills and Competencies
• Significant experience in a similar level role within a large-scale organisations (FTSE100 or similar)
• Confident providing a high level, consultative service, advising on best practice and approach from experience.
• Specific experience within setting / defining and managing policies and frameworks (NIST) across an enterprise size business.
• Excellent relationship management skills and a track record of productive relationships at a senior leadership level in a complex, large-scale business.
