Your new role
You will be joining a growing UK team to support the IT Security Team from their parent company in America. The role of ‘Systems Administrator IT Security’ is to provide daily monitoring and analysis of a wide variety of systems and processes related to Cyber Security operations. Also, the Security Administrator must respond to any threats to the organization and contribute to the maintenance and support of security systems and processes.
Your day to day duties will include:
\t • Monitor and optimize security event monitoring tools and processes
\t • Monitor and optimize vulnerability management systems and processes
\t • Monitor and optimize Malware prevention systems and processes
\t • Analyze suspicious links, emails and attachments per company policy
\t • Provide risk assessment reports that are easily understandable by the target audiences.
\t • Analyze reports and suggest remediation / mitigation plan
\t • Keep track of latest vulnerabilities
\t • Maintain good verbal communication skills; communicate effectively with technical and non-technical \t colleagues at all levels in the organization
\t • Attend internal and external training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology.
\t • A flexible approach to working on a rotational basis and provide necessary cover where needed
\t • Work within the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures

This role is open to Information Security professionals with the relevant degree. Must have 2+ years of experience in Information Security. Certifications such as Security+ or CISSP is an added advantage

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience with industry security event monitoring tools
  • Experience with Malware prevention systems
  • Experience with vulnerability management systems
  • Experience with email and or web security
  • Knowledge of network security
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP or similar
  • Ability to perform complex troubleshooting of security vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Broad background of networks, operating systems (windows, UNIX, Linux), firewalls and security engineering concepts.
  • Analytical thinker willing to “think outside the box” to resolve customer impacting situations on first contact; understand customer risk profile.
