Your new role
You will be joining a growing UK team to support the IT Security Team from their parent company in America. The role of ‘Systems Administrator IT Security’ is to provide daily monitoring and analysis of a wide variety of systems and processes related to Cyber Security operations. Also, the Security Administrator must respond to any threats to the organization and contribute to the maintenance and support of security systems and processes. Your day to day will include: • Monitoring and optimizing security event monitoring • Monitoring and managing Malware prevention systems • Analyze and report on email and or web security • Participate in vulnerability management and associated tools • Ability to interact with project teams to understand the security requirements and come up with solutions • Analyze and respond to Security Incidents. • Basic development/programming/scripting knowledge
This role is open to graduates with the relevant degree. Bonus points for a successful placement or relevant experience within a volunteer role. Certifications such as Security+ or CISSP is an added advantage

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience/knowledge of industry security event monitoring tools
  • Experience/knowledge of Malware prevention systems
  • Experience/knowledge of vulnerability management systems
  • Experience/knowledge of email and or web security
  • Knowledge of network security
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP or similar would be an advantage
  • Analytical thinker willing to “think outside the box” to resolve customer impacting situations on first contact; understand customer risk profile.
