3rd Line Network Engineer |£40,000-42,000 | Hybrid | North West

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer, supporting a complex and large-scale Cisco network. Based in Liverpool, this is a hybrid role and therefore open to Engineers in the North West area who are looking for their next career move.

As 3rd Line Network Engineer, you will:
  • Carry out and take lead on BAU and project-based tasks
  • Be responsible for the organisations entire network
  • Manage Cisco switches, firewalls, and overall network
  • Be a point of escalation for 3rd line support issues and queries
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex desktop related issues
  • Liaise with end users, other engineers, and service providers
  • Maintain and support the VoIP telephony system and Aruba Wi-Fi
  • Use own initiative to complete tasks to a high standard and meet deadlines
  • Responsible for server backup routines, testing and maintenance
  • Assist in hardware and software procurement, licencing, audits, and imaging

We are looking for an experience Network Engineer, with a combination of the following skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience delivering Network services
  • Proficient with the configuration and management of Cisco Switches and Routers
  • Confident managing Palo Alto firewalls and SolarWinds Network monitoring
  • Experience with Avaya telephony and Aruba Wi-Fi
  • Able to evidence successfully carrying out BAU and Project based networking
  • Confident working in a fast-paced and complex organisation
  • Industry recognised qualifications and certifications
  • Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with people from across the organisation

What you'll get in return A salary of £40,000-42,000 (D.O.E), annual leave starting at 27 days + BH, increasing with length of service.
