Appian Lead Developer - Salary upto £65,000
We are looking for a highly motivated Automation Lead Software Engineer who has a proven background in developing automation solutions and being the technical lead on automation projects. The successful candidate will also join our Automation CoE that provides technical leadership and governance of Automation solutions across the Aviva businesses.

A bit about the job:
Our Platforms Automation team is responsible for introducing and managing automations across the business using our strategic toolset that includes applications covering Robotics Process Automation, Business Process Management, and Intelligent Document Processing.

As an Automation Lead Software Engineer you will:
  • Be a lead developer on strategic projects
  • Advise and provide consultancy to our key stakeholders
  • Support projects to ensure best practice is applied throughout the SDLC
  • Be an active member of the Automation Design Review community
  • Work with our resource suppliers to deliver outstanding solutions
  • Support and mentor junior developers within the team.

Aviva uses "smart-working", and the person in this role can be based anywhere commutable to our Aviva offices.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Demonstrable implementation experience of Automation related technologies - especially Appian BPM. Experience of working with other automation technologies would be beneficial.
  • Experience of working on large corporate systems with a mixture of legacy and modern infrastructure/ applications.
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline, matrix structure team fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build relationships with key stakeholders.
