Cloud Transformation Advisory - Healthcare - Senior Manager

Location
We have learnt during the recent global situation that remote working can, and has, worked for our world-class advisory teams. Whilst we have core UK offices (London, Manchester, Leeds and Belfast) we are open to remote workers within a sensible vicinity to one of our 21 UK offices with a view to being onsite for a couple of days a week. There may be travel required to client site.

KPMG's Cloud Transformation practice is an award-winning team of over 100 consultants that helps clients transform the way CIOs and their teams deliver technology services to their business stakeholders. We help the UK's largest and most complex organisations develop cloud strategies, build the operating models, architectures and capabilities to deliver value from cloud, and operate their cloud or hybrid estates effectively and cost-efficiently.

We use KPMG's deep industry insights, C-suite relationships, cloud architecture capabilities, alliances and cloud adoption accelerators ranging from our cloud value labs and Cloud Cost Management models to our controls frameworks and landing zones to deliver lasting business benefits through technology. We need Senior Architects that are comfortable providing advice to C-suite leaders across Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare to join a vibrant and dynamic team, the work is rewarding, complex and engaging.

Infrastructure Government & Healthcare (IGH) Market

KPMG's Healthcare practice (within IGH) is at the forefront of helping to define and transform how technology improves the delivery of healthcare to citizens across the country. We are working with national bodies, local trusts, CCG and ICS to innovate, drive value, manage technical debt, mitigate cyber risk using a range of technologies. We work with board level executives across the health service , seeking to understand their priorities before advising on how technology should be used to realise the required outcomes.

Your Role: As a Cloud Transformation Advisor in IGH, you will support KPMG with the delivery of immediate value and impact, to national bodies and ICS undergoing a transform of their IT environment, through well-organised cloud adoption strategies, application analysis, cloud centres of excellence and finally implementing the transformations.

By working closely with C-level stakeholders you will, as a trusted cloud technologist, be directly responsible for outlining the overall vision by using the right solutions to business leaders. Additionally, Advisors will act as a source of support for customers, throughout the cloud transformation journey, building a relationship and helping to ensure the implementation of key organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior advisors are required to use their industry experience and SME knowledge to provide services in the following areas:
Market Development
  • Working with colleagues, identify and develop specific engagement opportunities translating potential demand into new engagements
  • Developing strong client relationships with c-suite stakeholders, understanding business problems and identifying commercial opportunities for KPMG
  • Managing and coordinating internal risk/engagement management processes, developing high level plans, budget calculators, attending Deal Boards and gaining approval to start work.
  • Understand public procurement processes, and considerations for new consumption methods (for example contracting, OPEX vs CAPEX)
Client Delivery
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations whilst delivering to time, cost and quality
  • Lead the design and build of cloud/technology roadmaps, implementation strategies, transformation plan and high-level architecture for healthcare clients
  • Provide impartial assessment of cloud strategy and vendor technology proposals
  • Provide insight across a range of technology areas
Capability Development
  • Contributing to the development of a vibrant and profitable architecture capability group
  • Working with colleagues to maximise our knowledge and experience.
  • Sharing knowledge, coaching and advising colleagues.

The Person We are looking to strengthen our team with vibrant leaders who can communicate and manage the relationships with senior stakeholders, build compelling transformation journeys and crucially are passionate about the public sector. Candidates should demonstrate.

  • Demonstratable relationships across NHS national bodies, trusts and ICS
  • Expert understanding of relevant standards, policies and procedures across the Healthcare
  • Knowledge of Well Architected Frameworks across the three major cloud providers and WGLL approach from the NHS
  • Experience in leading the delivery of technology solutions within a national NHS body or local trust
  • Proven skills in Enterprise or Cloud architecture including defining or utilising TOGAF, or industry equivalent standards as well as Agile delivery methodologies
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to inspire teams and develop new client relationships
  • Track record in advising or delivering complex large-scale architectural solutions on cloud
  • Previous experience of working on large complex, multi-year, business and technology transformation programmes in an advisory / consulting capacity
  • Experience with Digital and Cloud migration from "On Prem" to Public Cloud or Multi-Cloud platforms
  • Ability to have deep technical discussions with engineers, to explaining the business benefits of a range of technologies to non-technical stakeholders with business issues to overcome
  • Embraces a growth mindset for business development, able to influence stakeholders
  • Collaborative ways of working with clients and KPMG teams, always willing to learn
  • Team player that thrives in a diverse culture, inspiring and motivating others
