Job Description
Crest Pen tester required for a central government department. The role will be centred around conducting penetration testing for Networks. This role requires active SC/DV security clearance.
Responsibilities:
  • Performing penetration tests on a variety of systems, to a high standard, against set deadlines, particularly in:
    • Windows EUD (Eclypt)
    • High-Grade Crypto
    • Radio units (with Android OS)
    • Hub and Spoke Architecture
    • Cellular/Satcom IP bearers
  • Education and awareness of current vulnerabilities, tools, and exploitation techniques
  • Designing proof of concepts, demonstrating vulnerabilities to the wider business
  • Utilising automation and vulnerability scanning where available
  • Producing reports in a timely manner, to agreed standards
  • Providing advice to stakeholders as an SME, including
    • Effective vulnerability scanning techniques to automation teams
    • Vulnerability remediation to project stakeholders
    • Secure systems design to architectural teams
  • Ensuring that penetration tests performed by the whole team are effective and scoped correctly
  • Line managing security consultants, mentoring their development, and suggesting training requirements
  • Acting as a go-to person for technical and professional escalations
  • Cultivate strong working relationships, being seen as an expert in cyber security
As an ideal candidate, you will have an industry certification such as CEH CPT, CEPT, OSCE. You will have expert knowledge of Information Security Penetration Testing. You will also have a proven track record of delivery in a similar role. Crest certification & Active SC/DV Clearance is essential.
