Your new role
The Senior Security Analyst operates within the Technology Group as part of the Security team focussed on ensuring that the Security Applications protecting the organisation's infrastructure, applications and data are maintained, developed and a strategic plan of renewal and upgrade. Be a leading role in ensuring that the systems and data are secure from internal and external threat actors.
Responsible for undertaking technical risk assessments of the systems and communicate findings to senior stakeholders. Drive improvements in the security posture through enhancements to security tools. Provide ICT security advice and consultancy on a day to day basis and contribute to security strategy and security tooling selection.
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will have a track record of strong background in Technology, Cyber and Information Security. Experience of security in a DevOps & Agile environment. Experience of AWS IAM, EC2, ECB, VPC, Security Groups, ACLs, Route53, AWS logging and monitoring services - eg. cloudWatch, AWS PaaS services, ideally RDS, SQS, eklasticsearch, and documentDB. Comprehensive knowledge of technology enabled controls i.e. IDS, IPS, Encryption, Cryptography, Key management, Wireless comms, Penetration Testing, Firewalls and experience in design and implementation of Infrastructure, Network and Application Security policies.
You should have experience of network technologies (LAN/WAN/VLAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls), some exposure to application and system development (Oracle, Java, Web Service architecture), infrastructure systems (UNIX, NT, Windows, Solaris). You should have the ability to communicate technical security standards to other teams and mediate in any conflicts between security policy and technical implementation challenges. Knowledge of current industry security standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS), and the latest industry vulnerabilities, anti-virus software & malware protection.
