Exciting opportunity to join a very successful and growing cryptography start-up firm which has recently won some very large projects.

The firm has recently established an Applications team and they are seeking an Application Security Engineer who will develop algorithms for the development of core cryptography primitives.

You will implement and modify existing communications protocols in order to provide security against the threat of quantum computers. Your role will be to develop proof of concepts and prototype implementations, to ensure security best practice, to deliver research papers and patents, and to produce technical design specs.

The successful candidate will have proven experience across build, delivery and testing of robust security applications - ideally in a commercial setting, although candidates will also be considered if they are coming straight from academia. You must have excellent coding skills (C/C++, Python or Rust ideally). Any experience of PenTesting would be useful, and a Masters or PhD in a relevant subject is preferred.

The role will ideally be based in Bristol, but full remote working will also be considered. The firm is happy to consider candidates who require visa sponsorship.
