Working for a leading and Global Investment Management organisation. They provide investment solutions to more than 2million customers globally, they operate over 25 locations and hold over 700 billion in total AUM. The organisation is currently in the process of transforming their technology with a specific focus on their pensions business. As a business, they work with clients from all walks of life and are very proud of their inclusive culture.

The organisation have recently set up a team dedicated to managing Technology risk globally across the group. The team deal with everything from managing the Technology cost base, to testing technology recovery capability all the through to helping the whole of the Technology and Digital department manage it's risks and regulatory compliance responsibilities.

Your new role

The Technology Risk Director will join the team to focus on managing Technology risk across the organisation, this will be globally and will involve working closely with very senior level technology stakeholders. The Technology Risk Director will be required to evolve the Risk framework policy to support the Technology strategy, providing oversight reporting analysis and support across global teams. This will involve all aspects of technology risk including Change risk, supplier risk, Cyber security risk etc

The role will be wide ranging and varied, with a requirement to lead a small team of around 6-8 direct reports, however the successful applicant will be expected to be comfortable in a hands-on capacity and happy to get close to the detail.

What you'll need to succeed

• The successful candidate will be experienced in operating at the senior leadership level in Technology and Change organisations, with knowledge of IT and of managing a risk function (ideally within Technology)
• Familiar with regulatory expectations and Industry risk standards and frameworks such as ISO, COBIT etc.
• A proven track record of defining and leading a Technology Risk strategy and roadmap and implementing improvements
• Proven influencing skills with the gravitas to influence stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, and when operating in a matrix, global, environment.
• Co-ordination and stewardship of key Governance Forums/committees
