Senior Manager (B Grade), Digital Healthcare Advisory

The Role
This role is to join the highly successful high growth Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) Consulting team at KPMG as a Senior Manager focussed on consulting projects in the Health market and specifically focus on Digital Healthcare Advisory. They will act as a deputy to the Digital Healthcare Advisory UK lead on digital issues for health and care clients. They will manage engagements with national, regional, ICS and provider leaders, developing digital health plans, strategies, architectures and solutions; and will be responsible for helping grow the business by w orking closely in the existing multi-disciplinary team working on accounts, pursuits and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Revenue and Sales - Our intention is to build a digital healthcare advisory business quickly delivering year on year growth in annual revenues. This role will act as a key player in selling and delivering that revenue, supporting the UK Lead.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver digital healthcare advisory projects.
  • Managing high profile, connected technology projects across the healthcare landscape.
  • Have a strong network of relationships across the health sector, and the ability to develop, nurture, and maintain new relationships.
  • The role will require collaborative working across sectors such as local government and social care, and include responsibility for a team which deliver services such as digital architecture, digital strategy, cyber, risk and regulation, and customer/user experience design.
  • Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as managing the performance and development of other team members.
  • Upholding KPMG's values by acting with integrity.
  • Project managing engagements to deliver high quality work in a timely manner to include: scoping / financial management (budgeting) / engagement and risk management / production and review of deliverables.
  • Ability to deliver agile, transformation, and innovative programmes of work.
  • Fee generation through actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal development and client presentations.
  • Contributing to innovation and practice management, e.g. knowledge sharing, training, proposition development, and knowledge management.
  • Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, but in particular in the wider digital and technology advisory and transformation areas.

The Person
We expect that you will have
Regional Impact - the individual will be expected to be an ambassador for digital healthcare advisory skills and experience within the UK firm. They will likely contribute to thought leadership on technology-enabled care with the UK, and support the UK Lead for Digital Healthcare in their work with the global firms.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Their technical competence must be in Digital Healthcare, have a point of view and perspective (vision) of the direction of Digital Health in the UK. This influence should be showcased at a provider, system, and central body perspective.
Credibility in the market - The successful candidate must be able to credibly represent Digital Healthcare to client executives in order to scope and win profitable work in the market themselves. They will have greater than six years' experience within healthcare and technology advisory and will be seen as an industry leader in their own right.
Sales: Experience of both selling and delivering multi-disciplinary advisory services to the digital health market . This includes topics such as digital strategy, digital resource and capability assessments, cyber and information security, EPR strategic support services.
Leadership - the role will be a leader to our internal teams from a digital health advisory perspective. The successful candidate will need to understand how to manage a small and dedicated market facing group of specialists. The person will take a central role in managing a diverse portfolio of services and service lines inter-locked with Digital Healthcare.
Integration - To deliver on our digital healthcare strategic investment plans, we must integrate our propositions (such as Operational Excellence and Supply chain) with our connected capabilities, developing enabling and complex solutions to realise more value from our potential work. The successful candidate will be able to manage teams working in an integrated manner.
Relationships - The Senior Manager appointed will be able to develop relationships with our client base, and have the ability to understand technology programmes. It would be preferable if the individual understood how central bodies of the NHS, such as NHS E&I, NHS Digital and NHSX worked.
Qualification
Ideally degree level qualified, but not essential for the right person with the right experience

The role can be based in anyone of our major offices in the UK (Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh/Glasgow) and will include travel; candidates must have a willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally on occasions, with the potential to be away from home for set periods of time.
