Permanent Salary: £34,000 - £70,000 plus 10-15% Discretionary Performance Bonus + c.£800per month shift allowance if chosen + more benefits

Hays Technology are currently recruiting for experienced and knowledgeable Network Security Professionals from experienced to senior level for a large, complex, client facing Telecoms organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your network security career with one of the UK's leading telecommunication organisations.

Due to the nature of this role and the organisation's clients, you will need to be able to obtain SC clearance, the requirements of which are to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years at least.

Key Details
  • The Senior Network Security roles are paying up to £70,000 plus a 10% Performance Bonus and more benefits.
  • The Network Security roles are paying £28,000 - £50,000 plus a 10% Performance Bonus and more benefits.

You can also earn an extra £798/Month for working on a DuPont shift pattern on both roles. Candidates for this shift will need to be based within a commutable distance of the office in Sheffield for 7AM starts (can be reasonably flexible if required).

Salaries are negotiable and applications will be considered for candidates with a willingness to get certified whilst working. Time is provided for on-the-job study and certifications are paid for by my client. Top end salaries for both roles will require some industry certifications (e.g. Fortinet NSE 4/ NSE 5, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Palo Alto PCNSE/PCSNA, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) and in depth experience of the below.

Your new role will involve

  • Joining the existing Network Security team to work in tandem with the SOC
  • Facing a variety of clients and helping set up, maintain, and secure their networks
  • Setting up, maintaining and upgrading firewalls
  • Supporting the team and team leader
  • Providing accurate and informed security insights internally and with the organisation's customers
  • Making sure levels of incident response are appropriate

What you'll need to succeed

  • A good background in Network Security
  • Setting up, maintaining and upgrading firewalls
  • Recent experience dealing with major incidents with networks and firewalls.
  • In depth experience of any of the following: Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or Palo Alto is crucial.
  • Experience within a large scale, complex organisation is necessary - managed service/consultancy/B2B prior experience would be highly beneficial too.
  • Top end salaries for both roles will require some industry certifications (e.g. Fortinet NSE 4/ NSE 5, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Palo Alto PCNSE/PCSNA, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) and in depth experience of the above.
  • Experience of Fortinet, Cisco ASA or Firepower, Palo Alto
  • Eligibility to get SC clearance
