We are currently recruiting for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer for our client who are working out of their premises in Lisburn, Co.Antrim. Our client's solutions range from Sensor Systems (primarily electro-optics), Tracking Systems (RF, GPS and GSM), AI and machine learning, and Cyber solutions. With an international market presence, ambitious plans for continued growth and cutting-edge technologies, our client are at the forefront of its marketplace. Our clients are a small but dynamic and responsive organisation, funded by private equity. Due to continued success and product diversification, they now have a requirement for a Senior Electronic Engineer to join their Engineering team in Lisburn. Our client is currently looking for an innovative individual with excellent technical experience and motivation to contribute in a fast moving team environment.

Your new role
The successful Senior Electronic Design Engineer will be working closely with a mixed discipline team of engineers including electronic hardware engineers, FPGA designers, RF designers, embedded engineers, and mechanical engineers, to produce the companies next generation of complex, space constrained digital and RF systems. As an electronic design engineer, you will be involved in digital and analogue design, embedded processor systems, power supply design and RF/Antenna design/optimisation. You will participate in peer design reviews, have a can-do attitude and be willing to rise to the challenge of designing, debugging, validating, and documenting complex systems to tight timelines while training and mentoring junior members of the team.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful engineer should possess A 3rd level qualification in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience. It is expected that you have experience designing analogue and digital circuits as well as strong PCB design capabilities and experience with high speed, multilayer layout. Other skills that you should be proficient in include Power supply design with a focus on efficiency, low power and low noise, RF/Antenna design experience, debugging and fault finding complex electronic circuit boards and that you have experience overseeing the full product life cycle. Knowledge in these various software packages would be advantageous. 'C', embedded linux, Python, LTSpice, Tortoise SVN, Xilinx Vivado, Microchip MPLAB & MS Office.
