Your new organisation
We are involved in the delivery of digital, technology, data, and cyber-security across the entire automotive industry creating one of the strongest in-house tech teams in our sector. Working across 36 countries, supporting the mobility of millions of people and the world’s best automotive brands, we house a world-class programme of omnichannel and data analytics development. As a member of our Infrastructure and wider Network team, your work will be central to the delivery of our strategy and the long-term success of our IT support business.

Your new role
You will work closely with other members of the IT infrastructure Cloud and Datacentre team and the Technology executive staff decision makers in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective compute and storage solutions at a 2nd line level. You will help keep our customers happy and help them with any issues and how to resolve them (problem solvers at the ready). Our DC Engineers take care of everything on the ground to keep our customers platforms up and running and operational. No two days are the same and the role is extremely varied, you'll be learning about new technology and unique systems not used anywhere else in the market.

What you'll need to succeed
Your background in core Infrastructure and Network support with experience of handling Firewall consoles, Structured Cabling and practical experience with TCP/IP networking will lead to your success. You will also need to have knowledge in Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and cloud technologies. Ideally, we are seeking contractors who possess Nutanix or Cohesity experience but if you have good virtualisation experience, this will be more than acceptable. You will be working remotely but we do need you to be onsite once a month to change back-up tapes and you will also be able to be on call to visit the site at a time required to resolve issues that may arise this could be after-hours or weekends. You must be able to communicate clearly and accurately at different levels, both verbally and in writing.
