Summary of Role Purpose

Description of the role

Working with the RCA Project Leaders you will take responsibility for supporting the delivery of specific root cause projects. As part of this role you will:
  • Support in the data collection process by obtaining a detailed understanding of inspection findings and the related workpapers;
  • Using understanding of the underlying audit requirements support in the development of interview plans;
  • Maintain the root cause database of findings including supporting the coding and categorisation activities;
  • Lead the development of project based reporting on behalf RCA Project Leaders;
  • When suitably experienced participate in RCA interviews.

Working with the RCA Team Leader, Head of RCA you will take responsibility for supporting various RCA management and oversight activities. As part of this role you will:
  • Lead the data collection activities in respect of Audit Quality Indicators including liaison with other relevant stakeholder groups;
  • Support in the development of AQI analysis and reporting;
  • Support with project management activities including preparation of internal monthly reporting;
  • Support the preparation of RCART reporting to KPMG International.

Working with the Remediation Leader you will take responsibility for supporting our remediation development and monitoring process. As part of this role you will:
  • Liaise with action owners to obtain progress reports and update implementation tracking reports;
  • Working with relevant data owners obtain information to enable effectiveness monitoring to be performed and support in the evaluation of this information;
  • Support in the preparation of monthly reporting.

The Person

Essential experience
  • Knowledge of root cause process is desirable but training will be provided;
  • Ability to project manage within frameworks to demonstrate policy compliance;
  • Ability to be empathetic with individuals addressing adverse quality outcomes;
  • Strong understanding of audit process and audit requirements;
  • Ability to process and assimilate unstructured (and potentially contradictory) information;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly in both oral and written form;
  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of precision.
  • Ability to accurately prepare reports on a timely basis.
Essential qualifications
  • Professional accounting qualification is beneficial due to need to understand audit and professional services individuals with other relevant skills and experience would be considered
