Your new company
You will work for a large NHS Trust that provides critical services for local communities

In your new role you will:

  • First point of contact for all IT security related requests, escalating to the security manager where required
  • Maintain expertise in the operation of the Trust's Clinical Hubs and the various supporting computer and communication systems, and use this knowledge to ensure that Information and Communications Technology resources are used to enable its effective operation. Apply this to existing systems and potential enhancements as well as identifying new requirements;
  • Produce detailed technical plans for major Information Technology and Communications systems ensuring that they meet their operational requirements whilst ensuring that they provide best value;
  • Sustain a lead position within Trust project teams and bring expertise in terms of Information and Communications Technology systems and solutions;
  • Plan, monitor and, as required, install, commission and maintain computerised hardware and software systems, networks and telecommunications solutions;
  • Ensuring that a comprehensive virus protection and security patching scheme is enforced and maintained across the Trust;
  • Design and maintain effective systems of data integrity and security and ensure that comprehensive backup and disaster recovery procedures exist and are operated;
  • Translate business requirements for IT services into technical deliverables within the server environment. It will require a thorough understanding of industry trends and opportunities;
  • Creation and completion of Preventative Maintenance Routines to support Service Catalogue items ensuring availability;
  • Liaise with suppliers in obtaining quotations for goods and services appropriate to the department;
  • Organise enhancements and upgrades to existing applications as and when required through change control;
  • Ensure that comprehensive technical and system documentation is established, updated and maintained;
  • Provide user training and documentation on all systems and applications used within the server environment;
  • Provide out-of-hours cover for the Trust's business critical systems as part of a rota with others. Be a key-holder and work unsupervised outside of normal business hours;
  • Provide reports, as required, to the IMT Management, regarding the server environment;

In return you will receive a competitive salary of £32,306 to £39,027 DOE.
