The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all incoming inspection is processed in accordance with AS9102 to ensure that all products meet the design requirements and that all materials, manufacturing and treatments are traceable.
They will also be responsible for to ensure all incoming product is processed on time to meet customer demands, following up on non-conformance and supporting other functions to resolve any issues.
Organisational Reporting
This role reports directly to the Quality Manager and will be part of the QA team of 8 heads in total and has no direct reports.
Network & Relationships
Internal:
The ideal candidate will be working closely with the Goods receiving department to ensure that all Goods delivered are entered into the Inspection process, in accordance with the correct inspection status.
You will be collaborating with the Planners to ensure all parts are prioritized and processed in the correct date order to meet the business requirements.
Working alongside the appropriate buyers and the Engineering department to resolve non-conformance issues.
This role works closely with Quality clinic team to help resolve any issues that arise.
External Customers:
This role would communicate directly with vendors to help. resolve non-conformance issues and highlight lessons learnt to the business
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for all FAI (First Article inspection) and norm inspection of incoming aircraft product, ensuring quality and compliance to design requirements and ensuring traceability of manufacturing.
You will be responsible for raising NCR's (Non- conformance report) and interacting and supporting the quality clinic, via Zoom and face 2 face
Liaising with purchasing with engineering and other functions to resolve issues.
Ensure quality and delivery targets are met and parts are processed according to business requirements
Follow and promote AS9102 standards
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 16:00
Friday: 07:00
to 12:00 early finish
39 Hours per week
This will be an on-site role based at Leighton buzzard

Minimum of GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English.
Knowledge / Experience
The ideal candidate should have experience and intermediate knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access etc)
Experience of MRP Systems
Technical Skills / Competencies
Working knowledge of AS9102
A great team player
The ability to build relationships quickly
IT literate - An Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Access etc)
Great Numeracy and Data Handling skills.
Great understanding of technical data, written and electronic
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, written and electronic would be ideal
Effective communicator at all levels, both verbally and written work
Be able to work as a standalone person and use their own initiative
Ability to work to strict deadlines
