Role Summary:

Detailers required to work within the Prismatics machining module

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:
  • Manual removal of burrs caused by the machining processes
  • Ability to manually detail in radius and break sharp edges to drawing tolerances
  • The use of hand held air powered tools is a high percentage of the job
  • Day to day tasks include ensuring material, process layout and drawings are correct issue.
  • The movement of materials, tools, equipment, and work-in-progress within manufacturing route.
  • Assess manufactured features for conformance to requirements.
  • Declare non-conformances as they are produced or detected.
  • Apply the most effective "Best Practice" manufacturing methods available to maximise efficiencies and reduce CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality Control, operate and maintain stock control systems and use of equipment.
  • Assistance in quality control systems and investigations (i.e. non-conformance reviews).
  • Support continuous improvement deployment through active participation on Lean Events, Workshops and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Awareness of EH&S issues and adherence to safe systems of work
Skills & Experience:
  • Attention to detail is a compulsory part of the job
  • Previous experience of detailing preferred but not necessary as training will be given
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience in a New Product Introduction environment would be useful but not essential
