We have a vacancy for an Engineering Manager to lead and co-ordinate the engineering team for a key project for the Royal Navy, ensuring the accreditation and timely delivery of the solutions being implemented.

Purpose
The Engineering Manager role provides:

• Accountability for the content and application of the Engineering Management Plan
• Facilitation of improvements to engineering practise as appropriate to the requirements of the project
• Provides appropriate status updates and other reports to specialists, users and managers
• Manage the engineering team - including mentoring, coaching and performance review as appropriate

Key Responsibilities
The Engineering Manager has responsibility to:

• Ensure the consistency and alignment of Design Reviews and inputs to Phase Reviews
• Determine the level of risk associated with any shortfall in the maturity of the solution and the expectations of the Business' Tailoring of the Engineering Lifecycle and devise a plan to mitigate this risk
• The engineering impact on time, cost and quality
• Management of resources to plan, estimate and deliver
• Ensure all Engineering is carried out in accordance with appropriate standards, methods and procedures
• Determine the approach to maturity management and ensure maturity targets are agreed with key stakeholders
• Lead or support accreditation processes and quality gates as appropriate

This role requires you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
