Your new role

As Infosec Manager, you will take oversight of the institution's systems and technical architecture, advise on suitability of design, tools, activities, control measures, and processes which are necessary to mitigate known and emerging risks, and to comply with relevant legislation. You will gather, analyse and assess the present and future threat landscape and maintain awareness of best practice and current thinking in information, IT and cyber security.

You will work alongside internal teams, departments and external suppliers to ensure the design and development of IT solutions match the agreed security architectures, as well as provide an effective programme of vulnerability and compliance assessment of IT systems and processes. Supporting colleagues to reduce risks to data protection, you will also produce Cyber Security guidance documentation and training media.

You will lead and coordinate Cyber Security incidents and investigations, including computer forensics; provide departmental and institution-wide Risk assessment in respect of Health & Safety, and DR/BCP planning whilst acting as the institution's nominated JANET Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) contact.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience developing and supporting information/cyber security across a multi-site, multi-discipline environment.
  • Experience developing and supporting network security platforms and applications.
  • Ability to develop and implement suitable security policies and best practice procedures.
  • Experience of working within assurance frameworks and models such as PCI DSS, ISO27001 and ISO27002.
  • Proven experience of supporting the Identification, assessment, analysis and management of risk in the field of Information and Cyber Security.
  • Extensive knowledge of current and emerging security policies, regulations and legislation, particularly with GDPR and other emerging policies and guidance from bodies such as NCSC.
  • Experience of working within an ITIL and/or service-oriented environment.
  • Clear, cogent communication when explaining complex subjects to a range of audiences.
  • Proactive leadership in the development of internal networks.
  • Impeccable organisational, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in high-pressure environments.
  • Experience with implementing and/or supporting DR/BCP process and practice (desirable).
  • Experience with supporting a range of tools in the administration and support of IT security best practice (desirable).
  • A background with helpdesk workflow tools and/or online helpdesk systems (desirable).
  • Experience in the field of art, design and communication (desirable).

Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • At least one relevant professional qualification e.g. ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library), Prince2 Project Management.
  • Appropriate professional body membership or certification of skills (desirable)
  • Professional industry standard qualifications such as CISSP, CISM etc, or equivalents (desirable).

What you'll get in return
  • A Day Rate of £675-700 inside IR35.
  • A 3-month contract.
  • A hybrid working arrangement between three (3) London sites.
