Our HS Marston site is currently looking for a Financial Compliance Manager to join the team.

Role Overview:

This is a key role in the site finance team responsible for managing the compliance of RTX (Raytheon Technologies) control environment both with SOX & US Government Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for the preparation of annual statutory accounts and accompanying notes under UK GAAP, external audit engagement, coordinating all audit requests & data requirements findings, & accounts filing in line with Group & Company's House timelines.
  • Complete ownership for tax compliance. Detailed review of ledgers undertaken to reduce tax liability, engagement with Deloitte's to ensure tax returns filed for HSM and HSIC within Group and HMRC's timelines.
  • Calculation, reconciliation of US GAAP taxation
  • Management of the ACA review process both with the ACA team and internal personnel, coordinating all data requests both prior and during the audit
  • Management of the Internal Audit review process both with the Internal Audit team and internal personnel, coordinating all data requests both prior and during the audit
  • Responsibility to ensure compliance with government controls, HSM control environment assessed, identification of controls gaps, implementing remediation plans to ensure full compliance with appropriate controls/procedures.
  • Management of the IT system for electronic filing of VAT, Intratstas and other HMRC requirements, identify and implement improvements to ensure HSM and HSIC is fully compliant with HMRC rules.
  • Management and analysis of the process internally and in conjunction with EFSS Treasury to limit foreign exchange exposure to HS Marston. A hedge is now placed each period, with a detail analysis over the data provided to the business FD.
  • Management of the E&O process quarterly, with monthly updates as required compliant with Group policy.
  • Responsibility to ensure compliance with Archer (eSOX) & RTX controls, HSM control environment assessed, identification of controls gaps, implementing remediation plans to ensure full compliance with appropriate controls/procedures as well of the administration of the IT system (ARMS) within the RTX control environment
  • Management of Pension requirements under both UK & US GAAP including journals, reconciliations & liaison with WTW regarding reporting requirements within Statutory Accounts
  • Calculation, analysis of changes, booking & reconciliation of Contract Losses of products sold by HSM
  • Monthly review of Sales to ensure compliance with RTX Revenue Recognition policy, adjusting month end results as required.
  • Review of goods received and accruing all Goods received but not booked into SAP (Goods in Transit)
  • Annual review of all Insurance policies, assumptions, data required by insurers and investigation of any key changes prior to agreement of policy premiums with EFSS
Basic Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Flexible team member with commitment to the success of the function and organisation
  • Experience of SAP and Hyperian Financial Management systems
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of controls testing, SOX & US Government Accounting
  • Experience in budgeting, reporting and also cash forecasting
