Job Purpose and Objective

Hays is proud to represent a well established leading Property Management Company is Currently undergoing a major partnership with its sister Company and will be migrating onto one platform in the for the foreseeable future. Helping to maintain the Company security posture through supporting the security team and management. Working closely with the other Security Analysts to analyse security data in response to security incidents, requests for compliance etc.

Completion of security analysis tasks including
  • Compliance status capture and documentation
  • Support of major and minor security investigations
  • Day to day general security support for the business and wider IT team
  • Ensuring that appropriate security controls are in place across the Group and providing assurance of their effective operation

Functional Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of security principles, best practices (ISO 27001, NIST etc) and process (ITIL)
  • Some knowledge of key technology components, including servers, networking, core desktop products, email and internet
  • Ideally, experience of undertaking security analysis across a range of technologies E.G Windows, Linux, Azure/AWS etc
  • Awareness of current and emerging threats within the Security industry

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of personal security monitoring task schedule
  • Monitoring and checking of security task completion to ensure that they are correct and on schedule
  • Day to day security support for the business and the wider IT department, e.g., reviewing website access requests and assessing A/V compliance position
  • Support of major and minor security investigation activities (when required) including the analysis of and response to threat intelligence
  • Addressing security events reported through 3rd parties, e.g., our Managed Security Service Provider, to ensure tickets are resolved within SLA's etc.
  • Production and maintenance of security process documentation
  • Report regularly on progress / issues

  • Strong communications skills, and able to translate technical language into clear, accurate terminology that non-technical people understand
  • Ability to work independently, with integrity & manage time effectively as well as working effectively within the IT Security team
  • Good analytical skills, with a focus for detail
  • Must be proactive, organised and demonstrate a willingness to take ownership of actions
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to personally develop knowledge in Cyber, Information Security, Risk and Data Protection areas

  • 1+ years' experience in an IT Security function setting
  • Ideally 1+ years' experience working with an external Managed Security Service provider
  • Work location: Hybrid working with ability to work from offices in Milton Keynes; Dunstable; Leighton Buzzard area 2-3 days per week
  • Willingness to work outside of core hours on occasion
  • Be happy to flex between activities to support changing priorities as required
  • Full UK driving licence required
