Day Rate: Up to £700 per day dependent on experience
IR35: In Scope
Location: Mostly remote - occasional travel into Chesterfield
Contract length: 6 Months initially, likelihood of extension, likelihood of permanent offer based on performance

Your new role

Hays Technology are looking for two Cyber Security engineers to contract for a national logistics supplier who are undergoing a large transformation including a wide variety of security projects.

I am looking for a mixed bag of experience; the role will begin quite Firewall and Network security orientated, and will develop as the security function fills out. You will eventually be implementing security tools at various stages of deployment and working alongside Data Loss Prevention and Identity and Access Management professionals further on down the line.

The core areas of experience I am looking for presently are within Network Security and Firewalls.

This is a great opportunity to be instrumental in building the revised security function of a nationally renowned organisation.

Responsibilities

Conducting firewall rule reviews
Using Tufin to review
Firewall change requests
From a security perspective, reviewing change projects
Helping to define a revised security change process
Maintaining the operation of web and email proxies - raising changes when required

What you'll need to succeed

Experience Experience across network security and firewalls
Experience enacting firewall change requests
Experience of Symantec, Zscaler, Tufin and Azure would be very useful
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience advising over change projects from a security perspective
Industry certifications in Firewalls such as Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Palo Alto PCNSE/PCSNA, Cisco CCNA/CCNP would be highly desirable
