Your new role

The team is part of Enterprise Security, which also includes a Security Op Centre, Threat & Vulnerability Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance and Security Architects. We are a diverse talent pool of security engineers based across 3 regions: Cambridge, UK, Bangalore, India & Austin, USA.
Highly capable team that manages cyber security technology, provides consultation across Arm and has the dynamic ability to respond to threat and market changes.The team has cyber security analysts, managers and senior managers. Expertise includes in-depth knowledge of Email security, AV, EDR, VPN, NAC, firewall security tools.The team also has direct relationship management across Arm and with key 3rd party cyber security suppliers.

Whilst continuing to understand and respond to cyber threats and risks the key roadmap focus areas will be:

- Moving from a complex and disparate cyber technology stack to a more streamlined, automated and orchestrated technology stack with fewer vendors.
- Move from being purely reactive to strategic in nature, providing output of Security Technology value to internal businesses through metrics and analysis.
-Build the capability to identify future threats and apply security technology before security incidents occur.
- Where the team continues to manage the technology and respond to requests, tasks, change (through ServiceNow platform), we will look to document and improve our response. Looking at efficiencies and automation where appropriate.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Coordinate the delivery of new (or maturity of existing) security technology capabilities by -- Delivering a roadmap of security enhancements.
- Identification of technical security weaknesses and opportunities for improvements.
- Coordinating and driving technical security change across multiple stakeholders, external vendors and through use of technical SMEs.
- Using the ITIL framework to resolve high priority incidents, own requests and handle problem records to exceed customer expectations. Leveraging internal SME analyst support.
- People manage highly technical SMEs across the globe.
- Utilize Arms project management framework, policies and tools (e.g., business case, implementation plans, JIRA etc).
- Provide regular MI, Reporting and Presentations to senior management.
- Implement permanent and easily sustainable framework of security improvement. From identifying sources of change, (e.g., security threats/risks, business requirements, auditing/testing results etc.) to a continuous framework of managed change.
- Provide support with audit and governance for our internal and external audit functions.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential Capabilities:

- Demonstrate a good understanding of the range of technical security control concepts, procedures and systems (i.e., Email Security, AV, EDR, Firewalls).
- Take the lead on larger / more complex tasks.
- Professional experience is gained through substantial on the job experience to supplement formal learning.
- Strong organisational skills, coordinating multiple projects at any one time.
- Working knowledge of email security, AV, EDR, VPN, NAC, firewall security tools.
- Ability to convey highly technical and complex subjects, including articulating risk, to non-technical senior audiences.

Desirable:

- Ability to work with technical SMEs and stakeholders to drive forward enhanced technical security change.
- People Management skills, helping team / individual development.
- Senior internal stakeholder and external vendor management capabilities.
- Experience in documenting; processes, procedures and system documentation.
- You demonstrate a can-do attitude and you work to overcome obstacles, acting with a sense of urgency -because you're passionate about what you do.

Qualifications/ Accreditations:

- Security qualifications beneficial but not essential, i.e., CISP, CISM.
- Project Management beneficial, i.e., Agile or Prince2.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
