Your new company
This exciting, multi award winning global communications company is looking to expand it's UK team to provide support on critical MOD products and systems. They are seeking a knowledgeable and creative person with vision to join a team that is working on a vital products related to military storage.

The company are open to looking at Mid-Level and Senior applicants, given the exciting growth plans in store. You must have a strong grasp of C, C++ & Embedded applications.

You'll be joining a company that is at the forefront of it's industry who has worked with companies such as Space X, and joining a team of strong thinkers looking to create a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Your new role
You will be joining a company still run and managed by it's founders 35+ years ago. They have delivered high quality military and aerospace systems and have a desire to expand into the UK and European Markets. The company champions a collaborative environment that allows for creative solutions to problems so a free thinking, experienced problem solver is necessary!

You will never be stuck in the corner working on a small part of the product, being part of a team is crucial for this role so being able to see the bigger picture and have the vision as to how you can succeed is key. You will be working on a wide variety of applications producing software directly for internal test systems meaning no unrealistic deadlines for you and the team. Because of the different applications you will need to be able to multi task, have a high degree of self-motivation, be highly organised and be comfortable working to deadlines.

Working with this company means successful candidates will have the unique opportunity to work on the development of leading edge products and applications within the security, Cyber and potentially the Satellite communications industry. You will be a key player in the design, development and test of software systems responsible for analysing software requirements, high level architecture design, low level detailed design, implementation, test and integration.

What you'll need to succeed
The secure nature of the project work will require you to be 'Security Clearable' (UK Passport or 5 years resident in UK), with the ability to be DV Cleared an added bonus. The company will take you through this, so do not be concerned if you do not already have this.

You must have strong core programming skills using C / C++ from an Embedded perspective and may have worked with some of the following: Python, Bash, GIT, Subversion. A sound understanding of Object Orientated Design (OOD) and programming skills is key.

An eye for security is desirable as well as an understanding of digital security technology. Ideally solid C++ programming experience (including the Standard Template Library) on Linux and/or Windows platforms. An ability to estimate development effort of software solutions as well as familiarity with cross compilation toolchains and on target debugging.

They are not looking for all the skills and recognise there will be a learning curve, but a willingness to embrace a broad role with wide responsibilities will be required.

Salary is negotiable for the right candidate varying from £65k to £85k depending on experience as the company is primarily interested in finding the right individual and can invest in them.
