Summary of Role:



Raytheon UK is seeking a project manager

to support the

anager on a major capability programme
.

The successful candidate will manage all resources across all functions necessary to deliver
their defined project scope

to time (schedule), quality and cost
.

Main Duties:



Preparation of proposals from requirement management through to submission
,
award and subsequent delivery

Assure the programme element or project is executing effectively to meet commitments to the Customer and company

Identify and capitalise on programme opportunities to increase company revenues and customer satisfaction.

Demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and quality.

Manage cross-functional teams
to deliver project scope


Proactively identify and addresses risks and develops solutions to problems which require critical thinking, creativity, and innovation to ensure the successful completion of projects/programmes.

Support and if required conduct a regular tempo of downwards and upwards
communication
engagements for the programme, programme element or pursuit

Support business development and capture activities for the product line

Participate in collaborative relationships with peers within the
team,
Customer, strategic Partners, Suppliers and across Raytheon consistent with the shared vision

Deputise for the
Capability Programme Manager
as required

Ensure adherence to Programme Execution processes within the programme or project

Actively contribute to the development of Knowledge and Skills across the Raytheon UK PMX function

Candidate Requirements:



Essential:



Project management experience

A self-
motivated and process oriented
manager, able to manage change through
a
matrix organisation

Supportive
and resilient
, with the stamina to work in sometimes sensitive and pressurised situations to overcome delivery challenges

Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding

Willingness to lead and participate in change and continuously improve performance

Creative and open to innovation in order to solve problems

Eligible for or Holder of current SC security clearance (RSL will sponsor as required)

Knowledge of Ms Project and other Microsoft Office applications (Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)

Ability to support with good written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business

Desirable:



PM qualifications e.g. APM or Prince2

Interested in continuous professional development of self and others
