At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components. An opportunity has arisen for a Repair Engineer to work within our Engineering Team.
We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.
As a Repair Engineer you will provide a high level of support to our workshop, compile component survey reports, design repair schemes, and liaise with subject matter experts based in our California headquarters. Ideally you will be familiar with aero engine nacelles and / or airframe structures, composite materials, repair design practices and procedures and a have sound understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes.
Principle Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of support to our workshop, compile component survey reports, design repair schemes and liaise with subject matter experts based in our California headquarters
- Ideally you will be familiar with aero engine nacelles and / or airframe structures, composite materials, repair design practices and procedures and a have sound understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes.
- You will be an experienced Engineer with a relevant Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Qualification; a relevant degree would be advantageous
- Ideally you will have experience within the Aerospace industry and a repair design or MRB background.
- Consideration will also be given to candidates with experience in structural analysis or aerospace tooling design.
- You will be computer literate with experience of MS Office and Computer Aided Design, ideally CATIA v5 and AutoDesk / AutoCAD.
- Compliance with all Collins Aerospace policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and Global Trade requirements
