Spray Painter Prestwick Service Center - Aerostructures Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components. An opportunity has arisen for a Spray Painter to work within our Operational Business Units. We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • The preparation, priming and spray painting of aircraft engine nacelle systems in line with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Working with various tools and materials
  • Working within a highly skilled team
  • Working to tight deadlines to meet customer requirements
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
Candidate Requirements Essentials
  • Time served in a relevant discipline (with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification/or SVQ Level 3 in Spray Painting or equivalent)
  • Mechanical experience and an understanding of technical manuals, blueprints, inspection and working to ISO quality standards, ideally within the aerospace industry
  • Compliance with all Collins Aerospace policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and Global Trade requirements
Desirable
  • Experience of Polyurethane paints and epoxy primers would be highly beneficial
  • SAP experience (or similar operating systems) would be advantageous although not essential
  • An understanding of the principles of Lean/Continuous Improvement would be advantageous.
