Agile Delivery Specialist - £45,000 - £65,000

Change delivery at Aviva uses the most appropriate Agile delivery models including Scrum, Kanban and formal / informal scaling approaches to deliver large and/or sophisticated change. Agile and DevOps are core to the way Aviva wants to operate including strong alignment to Systems Thinking and other modern, adaptive and team-centric approaches to delivery and operations.

The Agile Delivery Specialist role supports adoption and adherence of these approaches, developing and continuously improving Agile capability and maturity in the team. Your primary purpose is to inspire teams to deliver phenomenal customer outcomes as effectively as possible with quality and innovation in line with Agile values and principles. The Agile Delivery Specialist continually drives value optimisation and delivery of change while building an environment of trust and self-organisation within the team to drive increasing levels of software engineering maturity such as DevOps.

The Agile Delivery Specialist ensures the path is clear for the team, removing blockers, facilitating discussions, enabling seamless communications and working with Technology Platform Leads and Product Owners to clarify the Product Roadmap, Vision and Backlog.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Ability to guide the team to follow Agile values and principles and apply the appropriate Agile framework and techniques for the team context
  • Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques and software development processes such as: Test Automation, DevOps culture, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, TDD/BDD, Value Stream Mapping
  • Strong Scrum Mastering skills as a Scrum Master or previous experience as an Agile Delivery Lead / Agile Delivery Manager
  • Good collaborator leadership skills and an ability to inspire individuals and teams to change and improve
  • Ability to improve and optimise the flow of work across coordinated technology platforms and teams

What you'll get for this role:
  • National starting salary between £45,000 - £60,000, London starting salary between £55,000 - £65,000 depending on skills, experience, and qualifications
