Your new company

You will be working for one of the UK's leading, most reputable insurance companies within it's sector. This organisation provides a range of insurance related services to it's customers and is looking to expand within the technology branch.
The role is going to be remote based, for an initial 3 month contract with likely extensions.

Your new role

Your role will be to work as a DLP analyst, operating to prevent the loss of data as well as maintaining the security of data coming in to and leaving the organisation. You will be required to learn the most important aspects of cyber security and will be responsible for ensuring any data going in to and leaving the organisation via emails for example, are safe to do so.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular checks on DLP email tooling to ensure blocked emails are verified and either released as per standard or are blocked and necessary action taken.
• Perform user education, where appropriate, and advise on best practice.
• Provide statistics, when required, which detail key management information on the use and success of the DLP solution.

Information security

• Work as part of the Information security team to assist where necessary and to alert them to any events of security interest.

Security administration

• Maintain security administration processes in relation to DLP and ensure all checks and all request are dealt with according to agreed procedures and as expediently as possible.

Incident management

• Investigate DLP alerts and identify possible incidents.
• Escalate incidents to senior members of the team.

Document resolved DLP incidents according to agreed procedures
