At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for a number of worldwide customers. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Materials Planner
in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.

Materials Planner

The successful candidate can expect to:
Create and maintain system demand in accordance with the Mater Schedule. To provide a material supply plan for the production lines to allow the Mater Schedule to be met. Deals with day-to-day transactions and problem solving to ensure supply of materials supports business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate system demand based on the Master Schedule.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure the successful supply of products from storage to production.
  • Ensure the release of material to Operations is in line with material capacity per line.
  • Manage material coding and bill of material changes within the ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for preparing shipsets within the system for invoicing and shipping.
  • Responsible for updating shipset review methods prior to release to operations.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely maintenance of all systems and records.

  • Planning & Organising: Develops realistic work plans, sets goals, and aligns personal plans/goals with company goals. Manages time well and effectively, including personal attendance and on-time performance.
What you need to succeed?
Essential Criteria:
  • 2 years' experience in a comparable role.
  • A minimum of 1 year's working knowledge of SAP, JDE or MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) packages.
  • Efficient experience with Microsoft Excell
  • Excellent communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience of working within a busy Planning (or related) Department, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge on material planning.
  • Qualified or working towards CIPS / CPIM qualification.
