We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Principal Stress Engineer to join the team in Leighton Buzzard.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Principal Stress Engineer will be required to provide solution for static structural problems. They will be the point of reference, the go-to person and the technical expert for all static analysis problems and will liaise with:
- I dentify and implement solution to all static analysis problems pulling together a cross-functional problem-solving team.
- Act as point of reference for all static structural problem and challenges, able to solve these problems leveraging technical expertise and efficient communication.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholder clearly communicating risks and means of compliance
- Give guidance to all static structural strategies, defining methods of compliance and effectively communicate certification strategies to the rest of the business
- Coordinate with Chief engineering office and other functions to ensure full compliance and certification strategy alignment
- Extensive experience in structure for commercial aeronautic industry
- Experience in structure for aircraft interiors
- Extensive knowledge in all static analysis and finite element modelling, not limited to:
- FEM software FEMAP and/or Patran, MSC/NX Nastran
- FEM to test correlation
- Material behaviour and modelling
- Certification by analysis
- CVE or Approver status for structure
