Collins Aerospace UK Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) provides solutions to the most complex simulation and training challenges for a variety of military and commercial customers around the world.

The Burgess Hill site designs, develops and delivers visual simulation systems comprising image generators and projector display systems varying in complexity from classroom based desktop training devices through to multi-channel full mission, fixed based or motion compatible flight simulation systems.

Reporting to the Displays Engineering Manager, this role involves
the research, design, development and test of electrical components, equipment and visual systems for commercial and military simulation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineering professional to work with our talented teams within our Centre of Excellence located in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Working independently or within teams on projects, to resolve design issues and maintain existing products. The role requires coordination activities involving the design and development of electronic equipment and devices across multiple disciplines, including the generation of engineering drawings and product information documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and facilitates the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.
  • Plans mid-size engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Update and release of production documentation, which includes test procedures, work instructions, parts lists, design documentation
  • Occasional travel to support customer and supplier meetings, and to support internal review meetings, installation, integration and acceptance activities
Basic Qualifications / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline or in the absence of a degree, significant related experience is required.
