Please note that this position is offered on a 12 months fixed term contract, ideally based close to the Guildford office as you would be required to come into the office in line with business requirements

The role of the EBS Analyst is to carry out requirements management, process development and business change, across a number of concurrent projects on behalf of the EBS team.
The EBS Analyst provides early stage and full lifecycle consultancy to senior business and project stakeholders in order to help shape projects, establish feasibility and see them through to delivery.
This includes identification of project stakeholders, supporting definition of project scope and objectives and developing benefits to support the business case. As part of this process, the EBS Analyst captures and manages business, functional and non-functional requirements and defines the as-is and to-be processes with multiple senior stakeholders.
Driving business change is also a critical part of the role including management of working groups and ownership and delivery of the business change plans.

The EBS Analyst will be

Responsible for working with the business and help articulating the user stories and helping shape the acceptance criteria as per business requirements/needs.
Responsible for the collation of the critical success factors and facilitate agreement and approval of these with business sponsors.
Supporting the EBS team in identifying project stakeholders, defining the project scope and its business justification.
Plan and lead workshops with stakeholders at all levels for requirements and business process capture and documentation.
Grooming the back log i.e. validating the business value, writing up of business requirements in a clear story format with structured acceptance criteria.
Responsible for being an active contributor in the DevOps team, supporting the application, resolving incidents/problems by analysing the problem and documenting knowledge gaps and process/system improvements in knowledge base articles.
Develop and gain approval for system requirements (functional and non-functional).
Responsible for ensuring change control and change management procedures are followed within the EBS team as they relate to requirements.
Support QA design documentation to assure traceability to requirements.
Support development teams, third party suppliers and test communities by acting as the voice of the customer on changes/projects i.e. during estimation, sprint planning.
With sufficient Business and methods knowledge and credibility to successfully negotiate requirements with multiple senior stakeholders.
Articulate and represent the requirements during supplier selection activities.
Develop business change strategies and plans including communications, training and benefits realisation.
Support continuous improvement through feedback on existing processes, and proactively proposing process and template improvements

The EBS Analyst will ideally have

An excellent working knowledge of business analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, management of requirements traceability matrix and has played an active role in the shaping and implementation of ERP and integrated enterprise systems for medium to large organisations.
Successful working knowledge of using Deming Cycle/ Lean Six Sigma tools for solving/articulating business problems.
Proven experience in negotiating requirements ( de-scope, release ) to balance the supportability of the application and the requirements of the business
Practical knowledge of key capabilities in a global enterprise using interconnected systems and its corresponding processes on value streams with an in depth knowledge on at least 2 areas i.e. Sales, Order Intake, Billing, Procurement, Payments, Collections and Finance, Hire to Retire
Capability to learn and be quick to adapt to business needs.
Experience in working directly with business stakeholders and helping them outline business problems and needs.
Passion for solving business problems and constraints resolved through process improvements or system improvements.
Worked in an Agile and Waterfall environment and can leverage agile principles at every opportunity.

Typical Knowledge, Skills and Technology Requirements

Good understanding of BABOK, Lean Six Sigma and Deming Principles.
Experience of non-PRINCE 2 delivery methodologies e.g. agile.
Experience of gathering and documenting requirements for technical projects, including leading workshops for requirements and business process capture
Demonstrable experience of working within a structured IT Project environment
Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes
A proven track record in BA work within IT projects
Demonstrable evidence of driving business change.
End to end experience of the project lifecycle
Experience of delivering work streams across multiple simultaneous projects
Proven experience interacting directly with end users and technical project
Experience of Stage Gate delivery processes such as PRINCE2
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and it will be nice to have SAP configuration / development / testing experience.
A passion for your chosen specialist field and the ability to plan and articulate the BA tasks required during project delivery.
Plan and lead workshops with stakeholders at all levels for requirements and business process capture and documentation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Highly process aware, with evidence of actively contributing to continuous improvement of project processes.
Confidence to challenge the status quo through bold behaviours
Competent user of Microsoft Office suite of products
Self-motivated and motivates others keeping morale and performance high.
Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure to meet deadlines and manage business expectations.
Understanding of IT architecture concepts, and comfortable working with the technical and architecture communities.
Usage of SAP ECC and other SAP products
Industry recognized professional qualifications such as: CBAP, BCS BA Diploma or Six Sigma
