About The Team
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an agile development and support environment supporting one of our key products used by a major international client. You will begin as a member of the 3rd line support team where you will apply your expert technical and development experience to fix complex code or platform level issues. In the longer term there are opportunities to contribute to feature development for this large scale enterprise level software product.

You will work alongside team members based both in Malaysia and around the world to ensure the continued smooth operation and extension of this product.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Triage production defects and perform code level debugging and fixes
  • Diagnose and solve complex performance/scalability issues with appropriate analysis and experimentation
  • Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production defects
  • Contribute to development of new product features or integrations with additional 3rd party products
  • Work with the AWS cloud platform to further extend infrastructure automation and monitoring
  • Investigate issues with data stored in a large scale relational database
  • Regular interactions with clients and product owners for the problem ticket managements and future project enhancements

What We Are Looking For

  • Someone with at least 7 years' experience working in a technical support or development role. (ideally in Java)
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn on the job, acquire new skills as required and put these to effective use.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team of engineers, giving appropriate support and guidance to junior engineers
  • Demonstrate good English communication skills.

Key project technical areas:

  • Programming Languages - Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, MySQL,spring, angular JS
  • Ticketing platforms - Salesforce ServiceCloud, JIRA
  • Build Tools - Git, Maven
  • Cloud - AWS
  • Other Technologies - Jenkins, Docker, Linux bash
