Job summary

Cyber and Information Systems Division (CISD) is looking for talented people to support the growing demand for delivering evidence based resilient sensing, information and effector systems for defence and security.

We are seeking individuals with relevant qualifications and/or experience from Academia, Private and Public Sectors (including the Armed Forces) to fill roles within our divisional groups:

Person specification

We are looking for talented individuals who have knowledge of one of the following:

  • Experience of using and applying System thinking methodologies.
  • Systems Engineering Requirements Capture.
  • Software engineering/management and modelling.
  • Space programme experience in space systems technical disciplines through all phases of a space mission lifecycle
  • Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes
  • Worked on complex and non-routine problems, drawing together disparate information and making meaningful technical assessments, ideally in an engineering or technology environment.
  • Experience in delivering space segment and / or ground segment products.
  • Development, integration and/or exploitation of sensor systems (including optical, IR and RF).

Important Information:

Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats. For this reason, only UK Nationals will be able to apply for this role. This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.

Sifting will take place week commencing 5th December with interviews to start week commencing 9th January due to Christmas Leave. Successful applicants will be invited to attend either an online or face to face interview.
