Job Details
Purpose of the Role:
This is a senior role within a team of highly motivated, skilled and experienced individuals working in a flexible engineering environment, whose primary activities relate to electrical motor drive systems.
Principle Accountabilities:
Extensive range of Systems Engineering skills, from Requirement Management to MBSE methodologies, System functions Simulation/Modelling/Analysis.
- Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761 and related standards for Validation & Verification as well as Safety
- Experience with SE processes in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Experience using MBSE methods and tools
- Experience with DOORS requirements management
- Experience working in a Change Control based environment
- Requirements analysis and decomposition to HW/SW domains
- Systems design
- Systems validation & verification
- Preparation of documentation in support of system qualification and aircraft certification.
- Experience in complex safety-critical systems
- A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Aeronautical, Systems or Control Engineering. Power Electronics background is an asset (as well as awareness of motor drive systems)
- Working knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink
- Good analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Learning ability and desire to be at the forefront of engineering innovation
- Experience of Motor Drive Products and Systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of D0-160G guideline is an asset.
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project tools.
- Modelling languages implementing the SysML notation to support MBSE
- Modelling tools, ideally Simulink/Matlab
- Requirement Management tool - DOORS (DXL scripts)
