Your new company
Working for one of my clients in the Public Sector. You will be based in the Oldham office and they currently have hybrid working opportunities.

Your new role
You will lead the infrastructure team in developing and maintaining the infrastructure, security and operations, inspiring the team to provide reliable, available, secure, scalable technology solutions and outstanding customer service.
You will work with the Head of ICT, demonstrating a structured approach to identifying and implementing innovative infrastructure improvements and solutions, while showing strong technical awareness across all infrastructure areas.
You will be actively involved in projects, both planning, management and delivery as well as managing the capability for business continuity and disaster recovery.
You will be managing the delivery of ICT support services within relevant SLAs and KPIs and acting as an internal escalation point for operational and security incidents.

To ensure that the ICT infrastructure, telephony and systems are highly available, robust, secure and meet compliance requirements.
To lead on the development of the ICT infrastructure and delivery of infrastructure projects, making recommendations on how the infrastructure can be continually improved, ensuring that the solution is fit for purpose, provides value for money and transitioned to support.
Oversee any infrastructure changes, ensuring that changes are appropriately scheduled, that testing and regression plans are developed and approved before any changes take place.
Ensure that all the external facing systems are regularly monitored for threats and that controls are in place to deal with such threats.
Facilitate Cyber Security audits carry out any remediation recommendations.
To be responsible for the ICT DR plans, ensure that they are reviewed regularly and updated and that scheduled testing is carried out. Provide technical advice as part of the business continuity / disaster recovery planning process and a lead on ICT BCP & DR planning.
Managing suppliers and vendors and ensuring that they meet defined SLA's
To act as the ICT escalation problem manager for the effective and efficient management and resolution of all infrastructure major incidents.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have considerable experience in a senior technical role or as an infrastructure manager, showing strong technical skills and understanding of Infrastructure services, cloud and associated technologies.
You will have strong analysis and project management skills, be able to gather and define requirements, manage technology projects and BAU initiatives.
Be a confident manager, who is authentic and credible, and has the drive and passion for continuous improvement.
Proven experience of developing business continuity / disaster recovery plans.
Be a great communicator who puts their customers at the heart of everything you do.
Take responsibility for inspiring, motivating and supporting team members.
ITIL foundation with good appreciation of Incident, Problem and Change Management.
An understanding of project delivery methodology such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
