Logistics Lead - Wolverhampton
Role Summary:
  • Hold responsibility for the daily delivery of material to achieve the production plan
  • Work with the production control team to create production plan and align capacity
  • Liaise with internal suppliers and Pattonair to ensure flow of parts
  • Attend daily Gemba to raise and resolve issues raised by the operations/production control teams
  • Ensure teams are trained and training matrix is maintained
  • Implement and maintain 7S in areas
  • Create and stabilize kit KANBAN
  • Manage material movement personnel to ensure flow between kitting and build lines
  • Liaise with Inventory team to remove stock obsolescence and stock issues
  • Produce flow of parts between goods inwards/final view to ensure parts are in the correct storage locations
  • Deliver relevant EH&S tool box talks
  • Create and report EH&S assessments for areas of responsibility
  • Resolve staffing issues within the wider Material's team to cover holidays/sickness
  • Perform 'Goods inwards duties' for urgent stock requirements and maintain stamp for 'goods inwards duties'
  • Manage daily Goods inwards receipts to ensure goods are processed within 24 hours
  • Liaise with Supply chain and Quality to clear daily queries in Goods inwards
  • Ensure flow of parts from Goods inwards to stores areas
  • Priorities urgent work requests from all areas
  • Track and maintain agreed daily/ weekly Metrics for review with site leadership
  • Deal with Staff & contractor issues
Key Skills, Experience & Behaviors:
  • Able to engage in detail issues
  • Knowledge of the kitting processes and customer requirements
  • Structured and organised; good planning, reporting and communication skills.
  • A concise communicator, able to communicate complex issues with clarity
