Role Purpose

The SIOP Lead will be an integral member of the Machining & Process (M&P) Value Stream through the support and delivery of all SIOP processes through Demand, MPS, Inventory and Capacity analysis. This is a new position which will require an individual who can develop and execute core SIOP processes in the M&P area, which acts as an internal supplier to all Wolverhampton Value Streams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and develop process to drive and improve SIOP processes within the Value Stream.
  • Review demand, supply, and capacity KPIs on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Responsible for SIOP review cycle, which involves constructing the pack, communication of message and managing actions to conclusions
  • Validate demand using demand validation tools and advise any intelligence that varies from VPS in the Cross-BU SIOP meetings
  • Identify risk and opportunities with the demand load by comparing with financial forecast and communicate the differences to all stakeholders
  • Ability to distill large-scale SIOP analysis and present results to management at all levels of the business.
  • Support Value Streams across Actuation who are considered customers, through the early detection and communication of risks and opportunities in M&P operations.
  • Develop long term capacity strategy and review with all stakeholders
  • Facilitate transformation and in-load activities through effective scenario planning to support business cases
  • Own and embed the delivery clinic within the value stream driving actionable insight.
  • Implement and manage the QCPC (turn backs and RRCA) with in SIOP process
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop the solutions for the root causes identified with in QCPC
  • Diligently complete ad-hoc requests from the Value Stream & SIOP leadership and other functions.
  • Responsible to achieve 100% OTIF for all defined tasks and activities on daily/weekly/monthly basic.
  • Responsible for liaising with all support functions to support process improvement events/activities.
  • Responsible for planning and working flexibly to a deadline, responsible for all standard work.
  • Responsible for taking ownership of SIOP actions management.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical preferred) or relevant experience.
  • APICS/Supply Chain certification or willingness to complete basics modules of APICS certification program (or equivalent) within a years of employment is preferred.
  • Experience of machine shop / processing areas
  • Knowledge of financial basics and valuation rules
  • Good working knowledge of core processes in sales, demand management, production planning, materials management, and inventory management
  • Experience in ACE, Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP (preferred) or other ERP systems, as well as manufacturing process and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with team members.
  • Advanced MS-Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatory, advanced skills in MS Office including MS-Access, DB & programming are beneficial.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
