The role

As a Cyber Operations Analyst, you will manage security events working as part of a blended Cyber Security team and be responsible for maintaining and improving security across the organisation. You will influence and ensure a culture of information security is embedded across the organisation; therefore, it is essential you develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with all staff to sustain the reputation of the IT team as a professional support function.

Your profile

  • Knowledge and experience of key security standards (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, PCI-DSS, GDPR) and response frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Experience with Microsoft Security Stack (365 Defender, Purview, Microsoft Office 365,) Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel
  • Experience deploying, refining, and monitoring applicable cyber security controls, responding to security events, providing recommendations of infrastructure and processes
  • Experience maintaining knowledge bases and incident playbooks, vulnerability management/scanning, creating incident reports, firewalls
  • Experience working with security policy, security principles, technical security features and protection systems including anti-spam, anti-virus and web protection systems
  • Experience contributing to security forums & communities, participating in bug-bounty programmes, and cyber bootcamps
  • Industry certifications such as, but not limited to: CISSP, GCIAC, BTL1/2, SC-200 ITILv4.


Communication

  • It is essential you can communicate advice clearly and persuasively and can present compelling arguments both written and spoken.
  • You will have experience in building good relationships at all levels across stakeholder groups and partner organisations
  • You will be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams with both business and technical stakeholders
