Role & Responsibility:
Logistics have two Goods inwards Departments & several kitting areas, that support day to day processing of incoming material and kitting of goods for the production departments across the site in line with Corporate Procedures & EHS guidelines

The successful candidate will join the Logistics Team & be accountable & responsible in supporting production needs & requirements to achieve customer satisfaction, quality, delivery, cost & achieving customer on time in full alongside Industry specific targets

Principle Accountabilities
  • Primary responsibility for Goods inwards and Kitting areas across site and first line reporting manager to several teams of people
  • Responsibility for KPI's and gathering metrics for areas of responsibility
  • Liaise with Supply chain, Production control & Operations to ensure the timely receipt & kitting of goods.
  • Daily liaison with 3PL facility to ensure kitting plans are achieved and support with solutions when issues arise
  • Managing all aspects of the Goods inwards & Kitting processes, including hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring performance, and responding to customer complaints
  • Ensure supply chain queries are escalated and resolved within the guidelines of the Goods inwards procedure
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and provide solutions to ongoing issues.
  • Run daily tier meeting's with internal customers, hold team meetings and be responsible for closing out all actions / concerns raised, liaise with Logistics Manager for escalations.
  • Problem solving of staff issues
  • Work with contractors within their department, arranging overtime and shifts accordingly to business need.
  • Ability to interface with a wider range of business personnel to ensure the timely receipt & kitting of goods.
  • Ensure team are working to correct procedures and updating where needed.
  • Timely close out of internal CAPA's raised against department.
  • Able to follow procedure and specific quality requirements of parts.
  • Structured and organised; good planning, reporting and communication skills.
  • Create & manage any record systems that are required (goods inwards logs etc.)
  • Continuous improvement of areas where responsibility is held.
  • Ensure staff are trained in all areas of business and maintain cross functional team through management of skills matrices
  • Be accountable for the 7S of the area ensuring team are trained and adhering to the 7S of the area
