Information Security Analyst
Permanent Salary: Up to c. £46,000
Location: West Yorkshire
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Your new company
I'm currently looking for a Security Analyst with a varied security background. On call work will be required every one week in five, and an on-call plus overtime allowance will be provided.
This role is to work with a vital piece of infrastructure based in West Yorkshire who are constantly evolving in line with a tumultuous threat landscape.
The successful candidate will need to be able to obtain SC clearance, a prerequisite of which among other conditions, is that they will need to have worked in the UK for the past 5 years continuously.

Your new role
- Rotational shifts across various areas of security operations
- Running vulnerability scans, interpreting results, getting involved with remediation, or escalating where required
- Patch management and remediation
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), monitoring, contributing to use cases, interpreting alerts
- Responding to security incidents, escalating where required
- Getting involved with wider security transformation projects
- Maintaining and reviewing security controls and risk mitigation strategies
- Effectively liaising with all areas of the organisation and fostering security awareness
- Maintaining a contemporary knowledge of current threats and cyber trends
What you'll need to succeed
- Prior experience in a Security Analyst / SOC Analyst role
- Understanding of core security concepts and industry best practice
- Practical experience using vulnerability and SIEM tools (specific tech stack classified due to nature of the role)
- Contemporary knowledge of threats, exploits and commonplace vulnerabilities
- GRC experience would be useful
- Ability to obtain SC clearance
- Evidence of continued professional development (relevant industry accreditations and certifications)
